A dramatic video footage captured by a tourist of an individual dressed entirely in black attempting to scale the high security fence at the White House's South Grounds went viral on the social media platforms. Witnesses heard the individual says "F--k it" before attempting to climb over.
Secret Service agents within the White House grounds rushed towards the barrier. The person upon reaching the top, became entangled in the fence's spikes, and later decided to come down, where agents arrested him.
David Stanley, a tourist from Oklahoma who recorded this unusual occurrence, informed Fox 5 that he and his spouse noticed rooftop snipers mobilising as officers converged on the scene.
The authorities have not disclosed the identity or motivation of the fence climber. The White House complex, spanning 18 acres, maintains security through uniformed officers, special agents, support staff and sophisticated protective measures, as reported by Fox. The potential charges against the suspect remain undetermined at present.
