Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris may participate in an interview with podcaster Joe Rogan to engage his audience, especially male voters.
Harris's campaign officials met with Rogan's team this week, though an appearance has not yet been confirmed, according to a Reuters report citing sources familiar with the situation.
Joe Rogan's podcast is highly popular, drawing tens of millions of followers. Recently, Harris released policy proposals targeting Black male voters. However, public polls indicate that Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump may perform well among young men.
Trump also plans to appear on Joe Rogan's podcast before Election Day on November 5. Despite past disagreements, the former president recently referred to Rogan as a "good guy."
Rogan has said he is not a Trump supporter and has expressed a preference for Robert F Kennedy Jr, who has since endorsed Trump after dropping out of the race.
A YouGov poll found that 81% of Rogan's listeners are male, with 56% under 35 years old. Rogan’s new deal with Spotify is estimated to be worth up to $250 million.
In March, Spotify said that "The Joe Rogan Experience" had 14.5 million followers, nearly triple the platform's second most popular show. Rogan also has substantial followings on Instagram and YouTube.
Harris has also scheduled an interview with Fox News.
