Matthew Perry ‘frozen’ by doctor’s Ketamine dose 2 weeks before death: ‘Let’s not do that again’

In the wake of Matthew Perry's tragic death, new details have emerged highlighting a pivotal moment before the actor’s overdose.

Just 16 days prior to his passing, Dr Salvador Plascencia, who has since been charged in connection with Perry’s death, administered a "large dose" of ketamine to the actor.

Perry experienced a severe reaction, with symptoms including a "freeze-up" and skyrocketing blood pressure.

Following this alarming incident, Plascencia reportedly told Perry’s assistant, Kenneth Iwamasa, “Let’s not do that again.”

Despite this warning, the situation deteriorated as Plascencia continued to supply ketamine, and Iwamasa administered at least 27 doses to Perry over the final five days of his life. Prosecutors allege that three of these doses contributed directly to his fatal overdose.

The ongoing investigation reveals that Perry was undergoing ketamine therapy for depression when his regular clinic refused to increase his dosage.

Plascencia and Dr Mark Chavez allegedly stepped in, providing Perry with around 20 vials of ketamine for approximately $55,000. The vials, some costing as much as $2,000 each, were sold under questionable circumstances, as highlighted by text messages from Plascencia expressing a cynical attitude toward Perry’s addiction: “I wonder how much this moron will pay.”

Plascencia, Iwamasa, Chavez, alleged street dealer Erik Fleming, and Jasveen Sangha, known as the “Ketamine Queen of Los Angeles,” face various charges, including conspiracy to distribute ketamine and related offenses. The indictment suggests that Plascencia’s actions were part of a larger scheme to profit from Perry’s vulnerability.

The final moments leading up to Perry's death reveal a disconcerting disregard for his well-being, as medical professionals and associates continued to administer dangerous substances despite clear warnings and adverse reactions. The charges against the individuals involved aim to address these serious allegations and seek justice for Perry’s tragic end.
