PM Modi gives special gifts to JD Vance’s children, celebrates birthday of US VP’s son in Paris
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday attended the birthday party of US vice-president JD Vance's son on the sidelines of his France visit.
The Prime Minister thanked the Vances for making him a part of the celebration.
"Had a wonderful meeting with US @VP @JDVance and his family. We had a great conversation on various subjects. Delighted to join them in celebrating the joyous birthday of their son, Vivek!,” he wrote on X.
Responding to his post, JD Vance said that his children loved the gifts they received from PM Modi.
He wrote, “Prime Minister Modi was gracious and kind, and our kids really enjoyed the gifts. I’m grateful to him for the wonderful conversation.”
This follows the meeting between PM Modi and JD Vance, where “topics of mutual interest, including how the United States can assist India in diversifying its energy sourcing through investments in clean, reliable US nuclear technology,” were discussed, according to the US Vice President’s office.
US second lady Usha Vance, JD Vance’s wife, also attended Tuesday’s coffee meeting in Paris.
The White House also noted that PM Modi gave gifts to the Vance's children and extended birthday wishes to the Vice President's son, Vivek.
PM Modi and JD Vance earlier attended the AI Action Summit hosted by France. The two had briefly interacted on Monday evening during a dinner hosted by French President Emmanuel Macron at the Élysée Palace in Paris.
