Watch: Donald Trump reacts to resurfaced photos with Epstein; calls it 'no big deal'
US President Donald Trump on Friday played down the significance of recently surfaced photographs showing him alongside convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, calling the issue "no big deal."
Speaking to reporters in the Oval Office after Democratic members of the House Oversight Committee released 19 previously unseen images, Trump said, "I haven't seen them, but I mean, everybody knew this man. He was all over Palm Beach."
"He (Epstein) has photos with everybody. I mean, almost there are hundreds and hundreds of people that have photos with him. So that's no big deal. I know nothing about him" he added.
The newly released photographs are part of a much larger cache of more than 95,000 images obtained by the Oversight Committee from Epstein's estate.
The images feature several high-profile figures, including Trump, former US President Bill Clinton, Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates, Virgin Group founder Richard Branson, Steve Bannon and others. The committee said the photos were taken at properties owned or used by Epstein between 1990 and 2019, with only minimal redactions applied for nudity.
Sharing a post on X, Oversight Democrats said the images raise serious questions about Epstein’s network and relationships, saying, "These disturbing images raise even more questions about Epstein and his relationships with some of the most powerful men in the world. Time to end this White House cover-up. Release the files!"
They said the production included "over 95,000 photos, including images of the wealthy and powerful men" who spent time with Jeffrey Epstein as well as thousands of images of women and Epstein properties.

Another photo shows Trump with a group of women whose faces are redacted. However, none of the released images are believed to depict any misconduct, and details about when and where the photos were taken remain unclear.
The released material also includes photos of Epstein with Bill Clinton and Ghislaine Maxwell, Bill Gates with former Prince Andrew, Epstein and Steve Bannon posing in a mirror, and images of former Harvard president Larry Summers and lawyer Alan Dershowitz.
However, none of the released images are believed to depict any misconduct and details regarding when, where, or by whom the photos were taken remain unclear. Responding to the release, White House spokeswoman Abigail Jackson accused House Democrats of politicising the issue.
According to CNN, she said Democrats were "selectively releasing cherry-picked photos with random redactions to try and create a false narrative."
"The Democrat hoax against President Trump has been repeatedly debunked and the Trump Administration has done more for Epstein's victims than Democrats ever have by repeatedly calling for transparency, releasing thousands of pages of documents, and calling for further investigations into Epstein's Democrat friends," Jackson added.
