Alliance standings across Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Puducherry and Kerala
Counting is underway across four states and the picture is shifting rapidly as leads firm up. In Tamil Nadu, where 118 seats are needed for a majority in the 234-seat assembly, independent and smaller-party candidates cumulatively lead in enough seats to hold a tally of 115, just three short of that mark, with 10 seats already decided in their favour. SPA has a tally of 60, with 7 won and 53 leading, while NDA is at 55, all in leads. In West Bengal, BJP has crossed the majority mark of 148 on tally, sitting at 179 across 11 won and 168 leading seats, if those leads hold. TMC trails with a tally of 106, comprising 2 won and 104 leading. Candidates from other parties or independent candidates cumulatively lead in 8 seats in West Bengal. In Puducherry, NDA has a tally of 18 in the 30-seat territory where 16 are needed for a majority, with 13 already won and 5 in leads, putting it past the majority mark on current trends. SPA holds a tally of 5 there. In Kerala, UDF leads the 140-seat assembly count with a tally of 87, having won 68 and leading in 19 more, well past the majority mark of 71 if those leads hold. LDF has a tally of 36, with 30 won and 6 leading. Candidates from other parties or independent candidates cumulatively hold a tally of 17 in Kerala.
