Eranad assembly election results 2026: IUML’s P K Basheer wins Eranad with 98,547 votes

ERANAD: IUML’s P K Basheer wins Eranad seat in Kerala in 2026 with 98,547 votes. Eranad, a general constituency in Kerala’s Malappuram district, has remained a stronghold of the Indian Union Muslim League. The seat witnessed a voter turnout of around 78% in the 2021 assembly elections. In that election, Basheer defeated Independent candidate K T Abdurahiman by a margin of 22,546 votes. In the 2016 assembly elections, Basheer had again won the seat, defeating the same opponent with a margin of around 9%.
