Alliance tallies shift across Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Puducherry and Kerala
Counting is underway across four states with leads still consolidating in several seats. In Tamil Nadu, where 118 seats are needed for a majority in the 234-seat assembly, independent and smaller party candidates cumulatively hold a tally of 115 seats, with 10 declared and 105 leads still in progress, just 3 short of the majority mark. SPA has a tally of 60, while NDA stands at 55. In West Bengal, BJP is leading in enough seats to cross the majority mark of 148 in the 294-seat house, with a tally of 179 including 11 won and 168 leads. TMC trails with a tally of 106, comprising 2 won and 104 leads. Candidates from other parties or independent candidates cumulatively lead in 8 seats in West Bengal. In Puducherry, NDA has crossed the majority mark of 16 in the 30-seat assembly, holding a tally of 18 with 13 seats already declared in its favour and 5 leads remaining. SPA has a tally of 5 in Puducherry. In Kerala, UDF is leading in enough seats to cross the majority mark of 71 in the 140-seat house, with a tally of 87 including 68 won and 19 leads. LDF trails with a tally of 36, comprising 30 won and 6 leads. Candidates from other parties or independent candidates cumulatively hold a tally of 17 seats in Kerala.
