'Lipstick Under My Burkha' box-office collection Day 4: Konkana Sen Sharma-Ratna Pathak Shah's film remains steady

'Lipstick Under My Burkha', which explores women's sexuality, has walked away with many accolades in international film festivals. As the film released in the country after a heated debate, the cast and crew breathed a huge sigh of relief.

According to a latest report on BoxofficeIndia.com, the film has minted as much as Rs 6.50 crore in four days of its release with maximum footfalls being on Sunday.The film has had its fair share of battles with the censor board that even refused to certify the film for its content, apart from other things.
After being ordered to certify the film by the country’s Film Certification Appellate Tribunal (FCAT), 'Lipstick Under My Burkha' was finally awarded an adult certificate, equivalent to an NC-17 rating.
Talking about the title of the film, the director shared, "'Lipstick Under My Burkha' is a metaphoric title. It refers to the idea that women will always have a pulsating desire to be free."
