Tubelight' starring
Salman Khan in a leading role, saw a dip at the box-office on the second day of its release. The movie collected an estimated Rs 19.75 crore on Saturday, thus taking the total two-day collection to Rs 40.50 crore, according to a report on Boxofficeindia.com

Though the collection looks decent it is below expectations for a Salman film which releases during the long Eid weekend. The film is expected to see a good hike in its total collection on the festival of Eid, which is on Monday.
The Kabir Khan directorial has still managed to take the second spot in the highest opening day collections of the year. At a little under the 21-crore mark, the film stands behind SS Rajamouli's magnum opus 'Baahubali 2: The Conclusion'.
'Tubelight', which is inspired from the Hollywood movie 'Little Boy', is the story of a man's unshakable faith in himself and his love for his family.
The movie also stars Sohail Khan, late Om Puri, Chinese actress
Zhu Zhu and child actor Matin Rey Tangu. The film also boasts of a cameo by Shah Rukh Khan.
The movie became the talk of the town since its inception. After wooing the Indian audience over with its trailer and music videos, the makers took their war-drama to an international platform. A few pictures of the film's posters featured on New York's Times Square hoardings went viral. The film is set against the backdrop of the 1962 Sino-Indian War.
