Even as Sanjay Dutt tries to veil his anguish with a smile, his eyes give away his inner turmoil. "Please don't grill me about the case, the matter's subjudice and I can't talk about it," he requests at the onset. But talk about work, love and life, and he pours his heart out. So, what keeps him going? "God, love and good wishes," he says, adding, "Love is extremely important, be it of parents, of siblings, of friends or of fans.
To love and to be loved is a big achievement in itself." Talk about love and can his 'good friend' Maanyata be far behind. "She's an integral part of my life. In fact, she's the most important person in my life," says Sanjay. But marriage doesn't seem to be on his mind for now. "Let the case get over, then we'll see. I'm not thinking about it now," comes a candid confession.
Isn't working under so much stress difficult? "No, on the contrary, I find solace in my work," he says. Reflecting back, is there any incident he would want to erase from the past? "Not just an incident, I wish I could erase some phases of my life altogether," he says and on an emotional note adds, "But I wish, I could somehow get my dad back. I'm missing him immensely." Admitting that he's always been hasty and emotional in his decisions, he adds, "I've always let my heart rule my head."So, what's he looking forward to in life? "I want to concentrate on my career and my family. Trishala is pursuing a degree in forensic science from one of the most esteemed universities abroad. She's made me very proud. I've lost so much of her growing up days. I want to make it up to my daughter."
