What happens during Sade Sati? How does it change your destiny?

As per Vedic astrology, Sade Sati is a phase of seven and a half years, which reflects Saturn’s gaze that moves over one's moon sign. There’s no denying that there are times when things get difficult and hurdles make everything impossible, and this often happens when someone goes through the phase of Sade Sati, which is caused by planetary afflictions and changes that affect the course of life. Here’s all you need to know about Sade Sati and how it can change your fate.

2/5

What is Sade Sati?

Sade Sati is basically a phase of 7.5 years as per Vedic astrology, when Saturn transits in the 12th, 1st, and 2nd houses from one's Moon sign. This period is divided into three phases of about 2.5 years each. This time brings major shifts and challenges in life, such as emotional trouble, financial strain, health issues, and personal transformation, testing resilience and maturity.

3/5

The art of balance

According to the books of astrology, the transit occurs because Saturn, as the planet of karma and justice, moves slowly through zodiac signs, taking roughly 2.5 years per sign to cover the three houses around the Moon, enforcing karmic lessons through hardships to promote growth and spiritual awakening. While most people feel that Lord Shani’s gaze brings in a tough time, as per ancient beliefs, it is a corrective phase to clear past negative karma via suffering or penance, varying in intensity based on one's birth chart.

How it changes your life

During Sade Sati everything might seem to be moving. Things that used to take a day might take a week now. You might have problems at work or old health issues might come back. It feels tough because Saturn is making you face reality. Sade Sati does not really change your fate. It does change who you are as a person and that changes your future. When things get tough, you have to stop doing things work harder and find out who your real friends are. By the time Sade Sati ends, one big change happens in your ego. Sade Sati can make even the arrogant people humble. It takes away things you take for granted. This change is what helps you have a life. Without Sade Sati, many people would not find the strength they have inside.

5/5

The phases of Sade Sati

Sade Sati does not happen at once. The first two and a half years can be tough on your mind. Change your surroundings. The middle part is often the toughest affecting your life or work. The last part is like a down period where you start to see what you learned and the good things that happened because of your hard work. If you are going through Sade Sati, the best thing to do is to stay disciplined. Saturn likes it when you work hard are honest and help people who need it. Do not try to cheat or take shortcuts. That usually makes things worse.
