Hardik Pandya buys India’s first Mercedes V-Class worth Rs 1.4 Cr! Details
Mumbai Indians skipper Hardik Pandya has bought a new luxury, becoming the first buyer of the latest Mercedes-Benz V-Class in India. The all-new model was launched in the country earlier this month, and Pandya reportedly gifted the premium MPV to his girlfriend Mahika Sharma. Photos of the duo receiving the keys from Mercedes-Benz have been shared online by the dealership’s Instagram handle. Here’s a quick look at some of the key details of this luxury MPV.
The new V-Class is priced at Rs 1.40 crore, ex-showroom. With this pricing, the luxury MPV sits between rivals like the Toyota Vellfire and Lexus LM.
For India, the V-Class is offered in a single, fully-loaded AMG Line trim with an extended wheelbase. The MPV measures 5,370 mm in length, 1,928 mm in width (2,249 mm including mirrors), and 1,909 mm in height, while the wheelbase stands at 3,430 mm. It will be locally manufactured at the brand’s Chakan facility in Pune.
Under the hood, the V-Class comes with both petrol and diesel engine options. The V300 petrol uses a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine producing 228 bhp, along with an additional 20 bhp boost from its mild-hybrid system. The diesel version also features a 2.0-litre engine paired with mild-hybrid tech, delivering around 234 bhp. Both versions are mated to a 9-speed automatic gearbox.
In terms of design, the V-Class carries a clean and upright stance with a large U-shaped grille at the front and a strong shoulder line along the sides. Inside, it gets a premium cabin with twin 12.3-inch screens for infotainment and instrumentation. The layout combines physical controls with soft-touch materials and brushed finishes, giving it a high-end feel.
The feature list includes multi-zone climate control, ambient lighting, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Nappa leather upholstery, and a Burmester sound system. On the safety front, it gets seven airbags, a driver monitoring system, ISOFIX mounts, a 360-degree camera, adaptive cruise control, tyre pressure monitoring, and more. The MPV has also secured a 5-star safety rating from Euro NCAP.
