MG Windsor EV launched at Rs 9.99 lakh: Pay-per-km plan takes on petrol cars!
JSW MG Motor India has officially launched its much-awaited Windsor EV at a starting price of Rs 9.99 lakh, ex-showroom. It should be noted that this cost does not include the cost of the battery pack. Besides that, the Windsor EV offers a battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) program. This program allows buyers to lower their acquisition costs by opting to pay per km for the battery at Rs 3.5 per km. Positioned between the MG Comet EV and ZS EV in the company’s electric vehicle lineup, the Windsor EV is named after Windsor Castle. This new EV is essentially a rebadged version of the Wuling Cloud EV sold overseas albeit with a different powertrain.
Pre-bookings for the MG Windsor EV have commenced, with exclusive test drives starting from September 25th. Official bookings open on October 3rd, and deliveries are scheduled to begin from October 12th. The Windsor EV is available in three variants and four colour options. The manufacturer will announce the variant-wise pricing for the model soon.

The Windsor EV sports a distinctive AeroGlide design with a unique MPV-like silhouette, featuring a high-set bonnet and a full-width LED light bar at the front and rear. It also includes vertically stacked LED headlamps and squarish LED tail lamps. There’s also an illuminated MG logo on the front. On the sides, the Windsor features 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels and flush door handles. In terms of dimensions, it has a wheelbase of 2,700 mm (the largest in its segment), a width of 1,850 mm, and a height of 1,677 mm.
