Shivangi Rao is a Scientific Officer in the Biology/DNA Division at the State Forensic Science Laboratory, Raipur, Chhattisgarh. She is also a Research Scholar in the Department of Forensic Science at Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya, Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh, where her research focuses on Forensic Genetics and Molecular Biology.


In her role at the State Forensic Science Laboratory, she is actively involved in forensic biological examinations and the application of advanced molecular techniques in casework. She also writes for The Times of India’s "Forensic Science Tech" platform, sharing expert analysis, novel research findings, and insights into forensic science practices, emerging trends, and scientific advancements.
