Bank Holidays in November 2018: The banks in many areas will be closed for business for 3 days this week on account of two festivals — Eid-e-Milad-ul-Nabi and Guru Nanak Jayanti. The Eid-e-Milad is on Wednesday, November 21, and Guru Nanak Jayanti is on Friday, November 23.

NEW DELHI: The commercial banks in many areas will be closed for business for 3 days this week on account of two festivals — Eid-e-Milad-ul-Nabi and Guru Nanak Jayanti. The Eid-e-Milad (Prophet Muhammad’s birthday) is on Wednesday, November 21, and Guru Nanak Jayanti is on Friday, November 23.
All the banks across India will also be closed on November 24 as it is the fourth Saturday of the November month.
Check below the list of cities where banks will be closed on account of these festivals:
1) Cities where there is a 3-days bank holiday
Banks will be closed for three days (November 21 - Eid-e-Milad-ul-Nabi, November 23 - Guru Nanak Jayanti, and November 24 - 4th Saturday) in cities such as - Mumbai (including rest of Maharashtra), New Delhi, Hyderabad, Raipur, Ranchi, Srinagar, Dehradun, Jammu, Srinagar, Kanpur and Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh).
2) Cities where there is a 2-days bank holiday
The banks will be closed on November 21 (Eid-e-Milad) and November 24 (4th Saturday) in cities such as - Ahmedabad (Gujarat), Bengaluru (Karnataka), Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) and Chennai (Tamil Nadu).
In the cities such as Chandigarh, Guwahati, Jaipur, Kolkata, Shillong and Shimla - the banks will be closed on November 23 (Guru Nanak Jayanti) and November 24 (4th Saturday).
In Kerala, the Eid-e-Milad holiday is on November 20. The banks across Kerala will be closed on November 24 as its 4th Saturday of the month.
3) Cities where banks will be closed for 1-day
Banks will be closed in cities like Agartala, Aizawl, Bhubaneswar, Gangtok, Imphal, Goa, Patna (including rest of Bihar) on November 24 as its 4th Saturday of the month.
