‘Star Air to have a fleet of 25 aircraft in 3 years’
NEW DELHI: Sanjay Ghodawat Group’s Star Air on Monday said it is aims to have a 25-aircraft fleet over the next three years. Star Air will induct two new E175 aircraft this fiscal year and four more in FY26. The airline currently operates a fleet of nine Embraers.
Captain Simran S Tiwana, CEO of Star Air said: “As we expand our fleet to 25 aircraft, we reaffirm our commitment to reaching more underserved markets and setting new standards in air travel. Each milestone in this expansion brings us closer to connecting more of Real India, offering fast, efficient, and high-quality flying experiences for our passengers.”
The new E175s will allow Star Air to “operate more efficiently on existing and upcoming routes”, strengthening its ability to offer enhanced connectivity across Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities. Since inception in 2019, Star Air has flown over 13 lakh passengers across 22 destinations in states like Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and Maharashtra.
