Manik Saha on Friday presided over a meeting to organise the upcoming Har Ghar Tiranga festival, like the previous years, from August 13 to 15 as part of
Independence Day celebrations. The meeting was attended by P K Chakraborty, secretary of the information department, principal secretaries, secretaries of various departments and DMs of all eight districts.
During the meeting, the CM emphasised the importance of ensuring the participation of common citizens in the celebration at the individual level.
He suggested holding events at various locations, including 75 border villages, which were renamed “Simanto Gram Kranti Veero Ke Naam.”
The CM also asked the administration to host programmes in the autonomous district council areas, involving their local administration, people representatives, and common people, to promote the spirit of unity in diversity.
