NEW DELHI: Agra Lok Sabha constituency, in Uttar Pradesh, holds immense political clout and is revered for its substantial impact on Indian politics.
Agra constituency went into polling in the third phase of the Lok Sabha elections, on May 7. It is classified as an SC category parliament seat, encompassing parts of both the Agra and Etah districts.
As per the Election Commission of India, Satyapal Singh Baghel is leading from Agra Lok Sabha contituency.

The 2019 Lok Sabha elections saw a closely fought contest, with BJP candidate Satyapal Singh Baghel emerging victorious by a substantial margin of 2,11,546 votes, amassing a total of 6,46,875 votes. Baghel's nearest competitor, Manoj Kumar Soni of the BSP, secured 4,35,329 votes.

Agra, a vital constituency in Uttar Pradesh, showcases a diverse population and recorded an impressive 59.18% voter turnout in 2019. As the 2024 elections approach, increased enthusiasm among voters is expected to further emphasize the significance of their vote.
In the 2014 Lok Sabha election, BJP candidate Dr Ram Shankar Katheria secured victory in the Agra seat with 5,83,716 votes. BSP candidate Narayan Singh Suman finished second with 2,83,453 votes, while SP leader Maharaj Singh Dhangar obtained 1,34,708 votes. Congress's Upendra Singh came in fourth with 34,834 votes.
The constituency is composed of five assembly seats: Etmadpur, Agra Cantonment, Agra South, Agra North, and Jalesar.
