AGRA: Agra's SN Medical College associate professor Dr KS Dinkar has been recognised for donating blood 48 times between 2014 and 2024. He was honoured by Union minister and Agra Lok Sabha MP SP Singh Baghel at an event on Sunday.
Dr Dinkar, who has been donating blood for last 15 years, was inspired during his postgraduation after witnessing a patient's death due to lack of a willing donor. "That deeply affected me, and I vowed to donate blood as much as possible," he said.
Nine other doctors were also awarded for their collective contribution of 110 blood donations over the past decade. Among them were Dr Vikas Gupta (25 donations), Dr Ankush Gupta (20 donations) and Sarju Gupta (18 donations). Additionally, 45 organisations that have supported SN Medical College's blood bank centre were honoured at the event.
