AHMEDABAD: Anandnagar police on Tuesday nabbed two women for snatching chain in Jodhpur. The two later told the police about three other women who have been involved in snatching incidents. Police have sent a team to Nadiad to catch them.
On Tuesday, Geeta Patel, a resident of Riddhi Tower in Jodhpur, had been to a vegetable market in the area in the evening when she sensed that somebody had tugged her gold chain.

When she checked, she found the chain broken. The vegetable vendor told her that there were two women behind her who might be involved in it. As the duo started fleeing the spot, a constable nearby caught them. They were identified as Alka and Shashi Shakte, residents of Nadiad. "They told us that they are part of a five-member all-women group who travel by train and come to Ahmedabad to snatch gold chains and steal jewellery," said a police official.
