AHMEDABAD: A 23-year-old man from the Navrangpura area of the city was attacked by two traffic cops and three TRB jawans near Victoria Garden late on Monday night.
According to sources in the Gaekwad Haveli police,
Neet Kansara, who has a utensils shop in Manek Chowk, was returning to his home in Navrangpura on his motorcycle and his younger brother Raj Kansara, 20, was sitting pillion.
At Raikhad Crossroads, some traffic cops stopped Neet but he drove towards Victoria Garden.
When Neet stopped his motorcycle at the crossroads, some cops snatched his motorcycle key. When he objected to it, the cops dragged Neet away and thrashed him badly in which he began bleeding from nose.
Later, Neet along with his family members went to Gaekwad Haveli police where the cops named Yuvrajsinh Gohil and Ramdev Ahir allegedly confessed to their mistakes and offered apology. tnn
