Drug seizure: One remanded in police custody

Ahmedabad: A sessions court at Mirzapur on Wednesday sent an accused in a drug peddling case to two-day police remand after the special operations group (SOG) traced and secured his presence from a Rajasthan prison two years after 154kg of ganja was seized in Sanand.
Five persons were arrested earlier in this case. The main accused, Mahendra Taili alias Doctor, was missing since the contraband was seized.His presence was secured through a transfer warrant from a Rajasthan court and prosecutor R P Thaker had requested a week’s custodial interrogation. tnn
