GHB plot: HC notice over encroachment

AHMEDABAD: Gujarat high court on Friday issued notice to the state government, Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation and the Gujarat Housing Board in response to a PIL demanding removal of encroachment from a GHB common plot in Bapunagar area that is the only playground for children living nearby. The PIL was filed by a police constable Narendra Parmar complaining that the only GHB common plot in TP 11 in Bapunagar has been encroached upon by some people.This has deprived children of their only playground as well as people living in the neighbourhood of the community gathering place.
Various representations were made by local residents before authorities concerned but officials failed to perform their duty.
