Ahmedabad: The Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT City) launched the second cohort of its Fintech Residential Programme to support early-stage startups that are building solutions across cross-border finance, security, risk and compliance, Web3 and blockchain infrastructure, and GovTech and RegTech. The application process for eligible startups opened on Wednesday and will end on July 5.
The six-month programme is being delivered through the GIFT International Fintech Innovation Hub (GIFT IFIH) and targets startups at the idea stage, pre-product stage, minimum viable product stage and early validation stage.
It blends three months of in-person residency at GIFT City with three months of virtual support, with a focus on product development, market validation and deeper engagement with the fintech ecosystem.
Sanjay Kaul, MD and Group CEO, GIFT City, said, “The convergence of finance, technology and regulation is creating new opportunities for innovation across the financial services sector.”
The Fintech Residential Programme will support founders developing solutions for domestic and global markets while leveraging the ecosystem available at GIFT City, he added.
GIFT IFIH plans to support 250 fintech startups over the next four years.
