"It's a win-win for both nations. Chancellor Merz's visit is a major step toward stronger ties, and we hope for announcements that benefit Indians in Germany and those aspiring to move here," he said. Among expectations is a visa cap hike from the current 40,000, opening doors for more skilled professionals. Over the past decade, Germany has seen a steady rise in Indian students. While language barriers once kept Germany off the radar for many, it remains a preferred destination for technical education and jobs. Community members in Berlin said professionals and business owners form a 70:30 ratio, with a thriving community built over decades. Opportunities abound in engineering, technology, business, and finance, and all eyes are on the joint statement on Jan 12.
