Veer Chaudhary’s all-round performance helped Savita Sports thump Rising Star by 100 runs and enter the semifinal of the SPCT U-14 cricket tournament organized by the Sports Promotors Charitable Trust (SPCT) at SPCT cricket ground on Tuesday. Electing to bat first after winning the toss, Savita Sports were bowled out for 174 in 48.4 overs. Chaudhary top scored with 52 off 89 balls with three hits to the fence.
Shaurya Yadav smashed four boundaries in his 20-ball 21.
For Rising Star, left-arm pacer Om Kakdiya took 3/22. Right-arm pacer Hetarth Chaudhary grabbed two wickets conceding 13 runs while leg spinner Dishant Lathigara returned figures of 2/24.
