Urvashi Rautela loses mobile during Ind-Pak match

AHMEDABAD: Bollywood actress and model Urvashi Rautela lost her cellphone during the league match of the 2023 World Cup between India and Pakistan at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Motera on Saturday. She took to social media to report the loss of her 24-carat gold iPhone at the stadium. Inspector V J Jadeja of Chandkheda police said that a formal complaint has been filed by Rautela's acquaintance. A man named Vijayendra Ramchandra Murthy, 35, from Delhi, who works with the Income Tax department intimated the cops about Rautela's missing mobile.The phone was misplaced at the South Premium Centre Bay at the stadium between 2 and 2.30pm on Saturday during the India-Pakistan match. "Cops have been trying to trace the phone and will check the CCTV footage and conduct inquiries inside the stadium on Monday," said Jadeja. Rautela has tagged Ahmedabad police in her X post: "Lost my 24 carat real gold i phone at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad! If anyone comes across it, please help. Contact me ASAP! (sic)." City police had deployed nearly 11,000 security personnel for the high-octane India-Pakistan match on Saturday where the hosts defeated the guests by seven wickets. Apart from Rautela, 23 other cricket fans reported phone thefts at the stadium.
