Vidyapith Library drive collects 4,000 books
Ahmedabad: The Gujarat Vidyapith Library has successfully wrapped up "Gyan Sanchay Mahotsav," a book donation drive that drew contributions from citizens across Ahmedabad. Held under the theme "Our Book, Everyone's Book," the initiative evolved into a meaningful celebration of knowledge sharing.Over 50 donors took part enthusiastically in the drive, contributing more than 4,000 books to the library. Covering a wide array of subjects, these books are set to become valuable resources for students, researchers, and passionate readers. The strong public response turned the initiative into a broader community movement, underlining the importance of sharing knowledge and encouraging reading habits within society. Buoyed by the success of the event and as part of the "Year of Literature" celebrations, the library has decided to extend the book donation drive until Dec 2026. It will now be organized on the first Sunday of every month between 8am and 12pm. The library has expressed heartfelt gratitude to all donors and supporters for their generous contributions.
