A 45-year-old woman died in a road mishap near RTO circle after being hit by a BRTS bus in the morning. Police have started a search for the absconding driver.

AHMEDABAD: A 45-year-old woman died in a road mishap near RTO circle after being hit by a BRTS bus in the morning. Police have started a search for the absconding driver.
According to Ranip police, Narendra Parmar, 48, a resident of Vadaj, on Monday left his home with his wife Hansa, 45, on a bike. When they were near the BRTS bus depot at 11.30 am, a bus came from the depot tried to take a turn towards Naranpura.
"The driver apparently didn’t see the bike hit it from the right. The impact sent the couple to the road and they sustained severe head and body injuries. They were rushed to Civil Hospital by an emergency ambulance where Hansa succumbed to her injuries whereas Narendra is still under observation. A search for the driver has been started," said a Ranip police official.
