"The US slashed tariffs on India to 18% from 50%. It is all because of PM Modi. EU-India free trade agreement was also being done at the behest of PM Narendra Modi as Modi hai toh mumkin hai," he said.

He also lashed out at opposition, including Congress, Samajwadi Party (SP), RJD and TMC, and said these parties lacked vision for growth.
"Be it Rahul Gandhi, Akhilesh Yadav, Mamta Banerjee or Tejaswi Yadav, these people are distraught at the loss of power and cannot do politics without power. Service (sewa) is not in their culture and they will not get power," he said.
Maurya claimed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has set the target of developed India by 2047 and "we have full faith that both Uttar Pradesh and the India will become developed".
On Union Budget, Maurya said: "It keeps in mind all sections and sectors including youth, the poor, farmers, women, infrastructure and embraces the vision of a developed India by 2047. He expressed gratitude for the budget presented under the leadership of PM Modi and by Union finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman, calling it a 'Modi's Guarantee Budget'.
Maurya said this all-encompassing and confident budget fulfills the expectations of every section of society.
"This is a strong and far-sighted step towards self-reliance, which has the potential to empower India economically and socially. It opens new avenues of opportunity in every sector, from manufacturing to infrastructure, health to tourism, rural economy to artificial intelligence, and sports to pilgrimage," Maurya said.
He said the allocation of two important high-speed rail corridors, Varanasi-Delhi and Varanasi-Siliguri, out of the seven planned corridors, will give a new direction to Uttar Pradesh's connectivity, investment and development.
He said the strength gained by the Indian economy due to Prime Minister Modi's visionary economic policies will be further accelerated by the Union Budget 2026-27.
