Mayor inspects sanitation at temples

ALLAHABAD: Mayor Abhilasha Gupta inspected various temples of the city on Friday in view of Navratra which is about to begin. She instructed Allahabad Municipal Corporation officers to ensure cleanliness around temples. She inspected Kalyanii Devi Mandir, Lalita Devi Mandir, Alopi Devi Mandir, and other temples.
During the inspection, it was found that lot of debris was lying near Kalyanii Devi temple.The main road leading to the Satti Chowra Mandir has broken man-holes which is quite dangerous for the people. The street lights were found out of order.
Later, the cavalcade of mayor visited Lalita Devi mandir where the sewer line adjacent to the temple was found choked. Water was found accumulated in the premises of Alopi Devi Mandir.
Mayor gave instructions to AMC officers to ensure cleanliness around the temples. Also, Gupta specified that the damaged roads should be urgently repaired and all the fused street lights should be replaced soon.
