Andhra Pradesh: Nandyal police seizes 16 country made weapons

TIRUPATI: Allagadda police in Andhra Pradesh's Nandyal district arrested 18 accused and seized 16 country made weapons from their possession during a cordon and search drive held on Tuesday.
Nandyal SP K Raghuveer Reddy told reporters that five special teams were formed to conduct a cordon and search at Ahobilam village in Nandyal mandal.
During the cordon and search drive, 18 persons who were found to be in illegal possession of country made weapons were taken into custody.One persons managed to abscond.
Those arrested by the police were identified as M Anjaneyulu, Narasimha, G Sekhar, U Narayana, M Siva, P Pamuleti, K Nagaraju, M Ramanjaneyulu, K Hari, K Ramanjaneyulu, K Ankanna, R Pamuleti, V Narayana, S Veerayya, K Prabhakar, S Anjaneyulu, K Krishna and I Tirupati.
Nandyal SP appreciated Allagadda DSP and his team for seizing the illegal weapons and for arresting the accused.
