Andhra Pradesh: Student dies by suicide at IIIT-Kadapa campus

TIRUPATI: A second-year intermediate student, Jamisha Qureshi, committed suicide on Wednesday at the Rajiv Gandhi IIIT campus in RK Valley, Idupulapaya, Kadapa district. She hanged herself with her dupatta from a water pipe inside the bathroom. Fellow students reported that she was distressed after being accused of stealing mobile phones at the campus hostel.

The local police, upon learning of the incident, quickly arrived at the campus and transported Jamisha's body to the government hospital in Vempalle for a postmortem examination.

The RK Valley police have registered a case and are conducting further investigations into the incident.
