Cops said that locals observed suspicious movement in their house and heard loud screams and chants. That’s when they deduced that they were performing the ritual hoping that Srinivas would get a ‘decent job’.
They dug the hole in their living room and hoped to find a coconut in the pit. Meanwhile, rumours of human sacrifice spread like wild fire causing panic among the residents. Cops clarified that there was no human sacrifice observed at the house. Srinivas decided to do the ritual after believing the superstitious words of a Sadhu and relatives. All of them were taken into custody and cases are yet to be booked by police. The investigation is still on.
