TIRUPATI: Six ancient temples in the state of
Andhra Pradesh will get a complete makeover with the funds support from the
Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams.
The TTD-which is the world's richest Hindu temples' trust has been receiving hundreds of crores of rupees worth donations to its Srivani trust.
The "Sri Venkateswara Alayala Nirmanam" (Srivani) trust was floated by the TTD a few years ago with an intention to seek donations from the devotees to spend for the construction of new temples across the state and to extend financial assistance to ancient temples also.
The Tirupati trust recently released a white paper on Srivani donations.
According to the TTD, devotees have so far extended Rs.860 crore (Till May 2023) as donations to the Srivani trust since it's inception.
The TTD has been constructing 2245 smaller temples across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states. The trust also has plans to construct smaller temples in other South Indian states too.
On the other hand, TTD trust board led by Chairman YV Subba Reddy and EO AV Dharma Reddy, recently sanctioned an approval for the allocation of Rs. 11.61 crore towards the renovation of six ancient temples located across Andhra Pradesh.

The temples which will get a complete facelift with TTD's support include Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple at Rayadurgam in Anantapur district at Rs.2.65 crore, Sri Chennakesava Swamy temple at Rangasamudram in YSR district at Rs.1.5 crore, Sri Lakshmi Venkateswara Swamy temple at Bhanumukkala in Banaganapalle mandal in Nandyal district at Rs.1.85 crore, Sri Lakshmi Chennakesava Swamy temple at Sanjamala in Nandyal district at Rs.2.21 crore, Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple at Korukonda in East Godavari district at Rs.2.4 crore and Sri Bala Venkateswara Swamy temple at Kakinada town at Rs.1 crore.
