Veterans' welfare camps set up in Uttarakhand

Col Vinod Kumar led outreach programmes in remote areas, providing solutions for pay, data updation, and pension anomalies. Metamorphes Foundation promoted homestays for sustainable income. Around 600 veterans and dependents benefited from the camp.

BAREILLY: Series of outreach programmes were held for military veterans and widows residing in remote areas of Gangolihat, Dharchula and Munsiyari in Kumaon hills of Uttarakhand. Many veterans and their families attended the camp.
Veterans branch team under Col Vinod Kumar conducted these camp welfares from May 5 to 10 with aim to provide doorstep solutions to various grievances connected with pay and allowances, data updation, pension anomalies, awareness about latest policies and financial assistance to veterans and dependents.

Broad aim of the entire exercise extending to a week duration was to reach out to elderly veterans and 'veeranganas' living in remote areas.
In addition, Metamorphes Foundation from Dehradun team under Col Pankaj Goel (Retd) spread awareness about concept of homestays to generate sustainable income in remote areas and facilitate reverse migration. Around 600 veterans and dependents benefitted from this annual camp.
