BANGALORE: The second day of the CET counselling for admission to professional courses went on without any hiccups on Friday with verification of documents of candidates claiming seats under the sports quota.
As many as 300 candidates claimed eligibility under sports special category quota. This included 85 national medal winners and 123 national level sports participants.
The eligible candidates will be allowed to select seats on Saturday at 10 am. For the sports quota, the government has set aside 40 engineering seats, eight medical seats, three dental seats, three ayurveda seats and one unani seat.
The verification of NCC certificates will be held on July 14 at 10 am and the selection process for eligible NCC candidates will be held on July 15 at 10 am. The NCC quota has about 25 engineering seats, five medical seats, three seats each in ayurveda and homeopathy and one seat in unani course.
