BANGALORE: It was a unique workshop. Teachers, psychiatrists and educationists took part in a one-day workshop on `understanding and solving classroom problems of adolescents', held by `The centre for education beyond curriculum', Christ College on Monday.

"in fact, three fourth of the problems could be because of the teacher and the education system." the select session was facilitated by dr shekhar sheshadri, additional professor of psychiatry, child and adolescent unit, nimhans, dr sameera simha, professor of education, vijaya teachers college and dr parthasarathy r., additional professor, department of psychiatric social work, nimhans. the workshop open for composite and junior college lecturers was based on an interactive methodology and covered topics such as profiling psychosexual development of adolescents, problems of adolescents, profiling classroom discipline for adolescents, classroom problems of adolescents and solving these problems. dr sheshadri opined that sexuality is all inclusive, "intercourse is just a part of it." an adolescent''s sexual behaviour at different levels of education was outlined.
