Central Crime Branch sleuths on Sunday pasted a notice on former mayor Sampath Raj’s residence, directing him appear before the investigation officer in a case related to the attack on MLA Akhanda Srinivasamurthy’s house on August11.

BENGALURU: Central Crime Branch sleuths on Sunday pasted a notice on former mayor Sampath Raj’s residence, directing him appear before the investigation officer in a case related to the attack on MLA Akhanda Srinivasamurthy’s house on August 11.
BR Venugopal, assistant commissioner of police (anti-terror squad, CCB), is investigating the case. He reached Sampath Raj’s Pulikeshinagar residence at noon, found the door locked and pasted the notice (in pic) .
CCB police have named Sampath Raj as the key conspirator in the east Bengaluru riots. He was issued a notice and directed to appear for probe in October first week. But he was admitted to a hospital for Covid-19 infection.
