Cab driver found dead in parked car with AC on
Bengaluru: A 37-year-old cab driver was found dead inside his parked car, with the air-conditioner running, near Nelagedarahalli in north Bengaluru Monday morning.
The deceased, Puneeth, was a resident of HMT Layout and a native of Channarayapatna in Hassan district. He came to Bengaluru a month ago and was working as a cab driver for a private firm. He had parked the car by the roadside around 10am. Residents noticed the vehicle was stationary for a long time and grew suspicious.
Around noon, a few locals approached the vehicle to check on the driver. They found him lying motionless inside the locked car. As there was no response, they broke open the window using a stone and opened the door.
Puneeth was found unconscious inside the vehicle and shifted to a nearby hospital with the help of police. Doctors later confirmed he had died of cardiac arrest.
