Bengaluru: A fire broke out at a car service centre in Kasturinagar near Ramamurthy Nagar in east Bengaluru early Monday. There were no casualties but four cars were damaged.
Fire and emergency services personnel received an alert about the fire at MM Cars service centre at 3.50am. A water tanker from Banaswadi fire station rushed to the spot around 4am and doused the flames within an hour.

Fire in godown, police save goods worth Rs 1cr
Hoysala patrolling personnel from Wilson Garden police averted a tragedy after a fire broke out at a transport godown in Sudhamanagar, south Bengaluru, Friday evening. Police said goods worth nearly Rs 1 crore were saved.
The incident occurred around 4.30pm when residents noticed flames emerging from A-1 Express Transport Godown and alerted helpline Namma 112.
Cops from Hoysala-20 and 21, including assistant sub-inspectors Srikantaiah and Altaf Hussain Dakhani, along with police constable Nagappa, found the flames spreading rapidly inside the premises.
They arranged for a public water tanker and began firefighting operations even before the arrival of fire and emergency services personnel. They moved a few cars and motorcycles parked nearby, preventing the flames from spreading and causing damage.
