MYSORE: Along with a large number of colourful fountains, the famed Brindavan Gardens in Krishnarajasagar has sprung back to life. Thanks to the Cauvery Neeravari Nigam, the garden will no more disappoint tourists.
And the results are there to see. Tourists are making a beeline to it hours after it was opened to them. While setting right a large number of ''out-of-order'' fountains, authorities have taken care to puncture the colour monotony by introducing a combination of colours and patterns.
The Russian Fountain got an ultra fast action moving jet and the power supply to illuminate the gardens has been doubled to light up the imagination of all visitors.

All this cost around Rs 3.5 crore. Minister for water resources Mallikarjuna Kharge formally opened the renovated Brindavan Gardens on Sunday evening.
Spread over 150 acres in Krishnarajasagar Dam, the garden was out of sync for a long time. But now, the scene has completely changed. It comes to life once the evening dawns. The central channels in the gardens have been topped with ceramic tiles to enhance visual appeal.
A 50 HP pump set has been installed to ensure uninterrupted water supply to channels and fountains throughout the year. Earlier, channels and fountains depended on the gravity and storage level of Krishnarajasagar Dam. Water has started gushing in full force with the introduction of the Rs 50-lakh ''pressure fountains''.
After a series of complaints, Cauvery Nigam, custodian of Krishnarajasagar Dam, started the renovation eight months ago. Though the work was expected to be completed before Dasara, some financial constraints prolonged it to December.
The musical fountain, the star attraction, boasts of digitised systems. Breaking the monotony, the fountain has been synchronised with more then 20 hot numbers.
