BANGALORE: Dispute in sharing money ended in four persons hacking a fair price shop owner on Thursday night in Nandini Layout.The deceased has been identified as Ranganath alias Ranganna (32).The police have arrested Narayana Gowda,Kumar,Venkatesh and Ravi Kumar in this connection.
According to police,Ranganna and Narayana Gowda had organized a temple function recently for which they had collected over Rs 2 lakh from the public.After the function,around Rs 60,000 was left without spending.

Narayana Gowda wanted a share in that money,while Ranganna did not want to share it with him.A week ago,there was a clash between Rangannas supporters and Narayana Gowdas supporters.
At around 10.30 pm on Thursday,Ranganna was returning home on his motorcycle,when the four followed him in a four-wheeler,waylaid and hacked him to death.
MAN HELD FOR KILLING KIDS
The Byappanahalli police have arrested Lakshman Reddy of Shanubhoganahalli,Kolar rural,who had murdered his two children,believing that he would be blessed with hidden treasure by sacrificing them.
After his arrest,police also learnt that three years ago,he had drowned his first child in a water tank but the relatives believed it was an accident.According to police,Lakshman Reddy believed that the black magic would bring him luck and he would become rich.

A month ago,a nomad soothsayer told Reddy that he was about to stumble on a huge hidden treasure.However,he should sacrifice his two children on an auspicious day,which would give him access to the treasure.
COPS RAID FAKE CELLPHONE MARKETS
It was a clean sweep of numerous bazaars in Gandhinagar area,which sold branded mobile phones for throwaway prices.However,the raid conducted under direct supervision of joint commissioner of police (crime) Alok Kumar,revealed another thing.
All these mobile phones were lookalike and assembled by the shopkeepers themselves, Kumar added.DCP (crime) Siddaramappa said the value of the confiscated high-end mobile phones and spare parts is Rs 1.1 crore.The raid began at afternoon,when the shops at Hongkong Bazaar,New Hongkong Bazaar,S N Bazaar and City Centre were doing hectic business.
