Mukarram's family plans legal action
BANGALORE: At the wrong end of the stick, Mukarram's family is straining every nerve to see that an inquiry is launched into the army sentry shooting down the drag-racer in the early hours of Sunday.
Lodging a police complaint - which the family claims to have done, but is hotly contested by cops - will not serve much of a purpose as the shooting took place inside an Army campus.

The Army inquiry is on.
Mukarram's cousin Masood Ahmed Khan said they are contemplating legal action against the guards on grounds that he's violated human rights. Masood said the distance between the sentry and Mukarram was just about 20 yards. "The sentry could have caught the boy with others' help. ''
Arshad Ahmed Khan, another cousin of Mukarram, said the guard had overheard Mukarram talking to his mother and cousins on the terrace of the brigadier's house, but he went down to get himself armed instead of catching him.
