Social media helps artistes express themselves better, says MD Pallavi

Social media has provided an equal-opportunity platform for every artistes, irrespective of gender, age and genre. People can not only promote their work, but can also seek feedback to make improvements in their projects. Taboos and biases will always need to be fought against, but it is encouraging to see a growing number of women expressing themselves through arts. Women can bring in a certain kind of sensibility to the craft, which can help make any performance more promising. Nevertheless, we do need more women handling technical and other behind-the-camera aspects of productions.
