BENGALURU: Bengaluru's rain troubles persisted on Wednesday, leaving commuters facing non-motorable roads due to severe waterlogging.
Social media footage showed the alarming conditions, with city streets submerged in rainwater, posing life-threatening hazards.

Disturbing images from Balagere Panathur Road depicted a biker struggling to maintain balance amid the heavy flooding.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the city experienced 6cm of rainfall from 8.30am to 5.30pm on Tuesday, which is just 33% of the record 179mm of rain recorded in a 24-hour period on October 1, 1997.
Expecting heavy rainfall in the next two days, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued an ‘orange alert’ for Bengaluru and surrounding districts in south-interior Karnataka for Wednesday and Thursday.
