Woman files plaint against activist Snehamayi who took Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah to court in Muda case

MYSURU: Nanjangud Town police have registered case against activist Snehamayi Krishna following a complaint filed by a woman resident of the town. He is accused of threatening her over a property dispute, a charge he has denied.

The alleged incident occurred on July 18, and an FIR was registered on Aug 21. The woman, in her complaint, alleged that Krishna threatened her and her mother with dire consequences.

The woman, who is 30 years old, alleged that she lost her husband four years after marriage in 2020, and since then she has had disputes with her in-laws' family. She alleged that Krishna threatened her and her mother for going against his friend and family, police said.

According to sources, the woman approached the Mysuru SP office with her maternal uncle, and based on this letter, an FIR was registered on Aug 21. Krishna, however, said it is a fake complaint registered against him.

"I urge police to launch an investigation immediately to know where I was at the time of the alleged incident. Police need to investigate early as technical details are important. They need to find out my mobile location and check CCTV footage from local establishments," he said.
