21-year-old kills self in Awadhpuri

BHOPAL

: A 21-year-old woman allegedly committed

suicide

by hanging herself in front of her infant son at her house in Awadhpuri locality on Thursday night. No suicide note was recovered from the spot. However, she had called her father in Delhi few hours before the incident wherein she did not mention any problem to him. Awadhpuri police have registered a case and started investigations.

said that the deceased Priti Mishra, wife of Dilip Mishra, a resident of SRG campus BDA road in Awadhpuri, was a housewife. Her husband Dilip had gone out to a party with his brother. When they returned, Dilip saw her hanging in a room. He called other family members and rushed her to JP hospital where she was declared brought dead.

SI Prajapati said that Priti hailed from Bihar and got married to Dilip, who runs a car workshop in Piplani, three years back. SI Prajapati said that Priti was alone in the room with her 11-month-old son when the incident took place. The reason for her extreme step could not be ascertained. Priti’s father Ravindra Jha reached Bhopal on getting information about her death.

He told police that Priti had called him four hours before she committed suicide during which she did not speak about any problem.
