Bicycle rider hits man in Madhya Pradesh; case filed for rash driving & negligence

MHOW: Dhamnod police in Dhar district have booked a bicycle rider for rash riding and negligence causing an accident that injured a pedestrian on Sunday.
Dhamnod police station ASI Juwan Singh Harwal told TOI, "Yash Kumar Kanel of Kahar Mohalla was booked for negligence while riding a bicycle in the evening. Sumer Singh Chohan reported that his son Yuvraj was walking on the roadside at Kahar Mohalla when accused Yash came on a bicycle from the rear side and knocked Yuvraj due to which he sustained injuries in his right leg. He was taken to Dhamnod community health centre from where he was referred to a private hospital in the town after receiving first aid. Yuvraj was admitted for further treatment."
ASI Harwal said that Yash was booked under sections 125(1) and 281 of BNS, and legal action in the matter was being taken against him. Further investigations were on in the case, police said.
